FEMA Mitigation Experts Come To You

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Mitigation experts from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be on-hand to help individuals learn about techniques that can help minimize property damage in the event of severe weather.

Mitigation techniques include such measures as creating wind resistant designs and reinforcing construction. It is also important for individuals to identify the location of “safe areas” at home and to develop a family preparedness plan.
